C Channel Roll Forming Machine - Automatic Size Change C Purlin Line with Adjustable Web Height and Flange Width

Product Attributes :

1. C channel roll forming machine with automatic size change - web height and flange width adjust by powered screws, so one line runs the full C purlin range instead of one fixed size.

2. Heavy welded charcoal-grey plate frame carrying orange bearing housings, chrome-plated shafts and multi-row roller chain drive, built for continuous C purlin output.

3. Floor-mounted main gearbox plus cut-to-length unit deliver consistent sections with minimum scrap between size changes.

Product Description

Vertical adjustment columns on C channel roll forming machine

Size adjustment station of the C channel roll forming machine: two tall red vertical columns with black top caps and telescoping inner members rise above the black machined sliding block carried on chrome tie rods with heavy hex nuts, with chrome guide pillars and large adjustment nuts at the right and the adjustment drive motor flange-mounted at the top. Orange and grey side plates with chrome shafts show how the roll positions travel.

Web height adjustment screws on C channel roll forming machine

Along the C channel roll forming machine: the long welded charcoal-grey plate frame, perforated with a row of bolt holes and carrying orange bearing housings with chrome-plated shafts, holds diagonal threaded adjustment screws at the top for setting web height, while a blue gear motor with a gear reducer and coupling drives the line from the middle and a single-row chain loop with a pillow-block bearing closes the drive at the far end, with roll forming machines visible behind.

Floor mounted gearbox drive of C channel roll forming machine

Drive end of the C channel roll forming machine: the large grey gearbox bolted down to a black floor plate drives the station through the stacked sprockets and parallel roller chains running along the frame, with the tall black vertical housing above it. A separate blue machine with rolls and adjustment units runs alongside in the same workshop bay, its bed carrying long rows of rolls and a small grey motor.

Multi-row chain drive of C channel roll forming machine

Chain transmission of the C channel roll forming machine: four to five heavy roller chains run in parallel loops over black-oxide duplex and triplex sprockets along the charcoal-grey welded side plate, with orange square bearing housings closed by polished chrome covers and chrome roll shafts between them, and a black threaded tension block with a long bolt sitting on the chain path between the sprockets under the factory light.

C Channel Roll Forming Machine - Manufactured by XINNUO Since 1995

XINNUO has manufactured cold roll forming equipment since 1995, and the C channel roll forming machine is one of our longest-running product families. Because we build the forming stands, the adjustment mechanism and the cutting unit in our own workshop, the automatic size change system is developed together with the line rather than added on afterwards.

This machine is built for buyers who run many C purlin sizes rather than one fixed section. Web height and flange width are adjusted by powered screws, so the line is reset for the next size without changing rolls or shimming stands by hand. The frame is a heavy welded plate structure in charcoal grey carrying orange bearing housings and chrome-plated shafts, driven by multi-row roller chain from a floor-mounted main gearbox - a layout chosen for continuous output and for holding section tolerance after repeated size changes.

The machine is supplied for purlin sizes from C100 up to C300 with strip thickness typically 1.5mm to 4mm, and is normally paired with a hydraulic decoiler and a run-out table. Because the integrated fully automatic configuration stands around 2.2m high, we confirm the shop clear height (2.5m or more recommended) and the total line length on the layout drawing before shipment. We have exported to more than 150 countries with installation, training and long-term spare parts support.

FAQ

Q1: What C purlin sizes can one machine run?

A: The line is built to your size list - commonly C100, C120, C140, C160, C180, C200 through to C300, with web height, flange width, lip and strip thickness selected for your market. Send your size list and we confirm which of them one C channel roll forming machine covers without changing rolls.

Q2: How does the automatic size change actually work?

A: Web height and flange width are set by powered adjustment screws built into the frame, so the roll positions move to the stored setting for the next profile instead of an operator loosening stands and re-shimming by hand. Once the setting is established it repeats, which is what keeps section tolerance stable shift after shift.

Q3: How much time and scrap does automatic size change save?

A: On a manually adjusted line, a size change means stopping production, loosening stands, resetting roll positions and then running trial lengths until the section gauges correctly. Automatic adjustment removes most of that idle time and the trial length scrap that goes with it, so the saving grows with the number of sizes you run per week.

Q4: Are web height and flange width adjusted separately?

A: Yes. They are separate settings, so you can change only the height for a taller purlin while keeping the flange, or change the flange width for a different connection detail. That flexibility is the point of the size-change design - a fixed-roll machine would need new rolls for either change.

Q5: Can the same line also produce other sections?

A: In many projects the machine is configured to run C channel and U channel from the same frame, and CZ combined machines are available where a buyer needs both C and Z purlins. Tell us the full section list you expect to run and we will confirm which configuration covers it.

Q6: What strip material and thickness does it handle?

A: Pre-galvanised, hot-dip galvanised and pre-painted steel strip from about 1.5mm to 4mm, depending on the section depth and the standard you build to. Full-hard and high-tensile grades are checked individually, because material strength affects roll pressure, drive sizing and springback allowance.

Q7: What about punching, cutting and length accuracy?

A: The line cuts to length, with hydraulic punching for bolt holes available as a station in the line. Length and hole position are set from the control system, and we state the achievable tolerance in the quotation so it is agreed before the machine is built, not after.

Q8: How is the machine delivered and what support is included?

A: The machine is assembled and test run on your profile before shipment, with the electrics and hydraulics protected for sea freight; delivery is typically 30 to 45 days depending on configuration. We supply the layout drawing, section drawings, manual, spare parts list, and installation and commissioning support, with engineers available on site on request.
