Hydraulic Decoiler Machine - 5 Ton Hydraulic Mandrel Uncoiler for Purlin and Cold Roll Forming Lines

Product Attributes :

1. Hydraulic decoiler machine for 5 ton coils - hydraulic mandrel expansion grips and releases the coil from the bore, so loading is fast and repeatable.

2. Heavy curved hold-down arm with its own actuating cylinder rides on the coil, holding the wrap tight and feeding strip into the line without slack.

3. Fully welded blue steel frame on an open H-shaped base, sized for continuous purlin production, with visible safety labels on the housing.

Product Description

Complete hydraulic decoiler machine beside a purlin forming line

Complete hydraulic decoiler machine in the workshop: the welded blue H-shaped base carries the bolted upper housing and the heavy black curved hold-down arm with its rear hinge pivot, with yellow guards along the lower frame and two safety labels on the housing. Behind it the purlin roll forming line runs with its stands and motors.

Expanding mandrel shaft of hydraulic decoiler machine

Looking along the exposed mandrel of the hydraulic decoiler machine: the large black expanding shaft runs diagonally through the blue frame with no coil fitted, and the heavy curved hold-down arm hangs above it on black hinged link arms with pins and bolts. Yellow warning panels mark the frame and forming stands run behind.

Actuating cylinder and red tubing on hydraulic decoiler machine

Actuating cylinder on the hydraulic decoiler machine: the silver barrel with black end caps is pinned at its lower end through a clevis and connects at the top to a black lever arm on a triangular bracket, with two red lines running off through push-in fittings. Welded blue side plates and a yellow warning label frame the assembly.

Cylinder above mandrel hub of hydraulic decoiler machine

Close-up of the cylinder bracket on the hydraulic decoiler machine: the silver barrel with black end caps and side mounting block is pinned to the blue frame above the machined mandrel hub, which carries a black band bolted in place, and its line runs off to the right through push-in fittings. A small label sits on the barrel.

Hydraulic Decoiler Machine - Built by XINNUO Since 1995

XINNUO has manufactured cold roll forming equipment since 1995, and the hydraulic decoiler machine is built in the same workshop as the purlin lines it feeds. That matters because the decoiler and the purlin machine have to work as one system: the strip width the rolls are cut for, the coil weight the mandrel can carry, and the strip speed the line runs at all have to agree before the machine is built.

The 5 ton hydraulic decoiler machine uses hydraulic mandrel expansion, so the coil is gripped and released from its bore by hydraulic pressure rather than by turning a screw or a spanner. A heavy curved hold-down arm with its own actuating cylinder rests on the outside of the coil, keeping the wrap tight through the full coil and suppressing strip whip as the coil runs down. The frame is fully welded from heavy steel sections on an open H-shaped base, with guards and warning labels on the housing.

Units are supplied for purlin and CZ lines and for roof and wall panel lines, with the decoiler position and the gap to the forming section confirmed on the layout drawing before shipment - typically around three metres in our standard layouts. Coil weights of 3, 5 and 10 tons are commonly built, with over 150 countries supplied and long-term spare parts support.

FAQ

Q1: What does "5 ton" mean on a hydraulic decoiler machine?

A: It is the maximum coil weight the mandrel, bearings and frame are designed to carry - a 5 ton hydraulic decoiler machine handles coils up to 5 tonnes. Coil outer diameter, bore and strip width are confirmed separately, so the capacity figure is always read together with those three dimensions.

Q2: How does the hydraulic mandrel expand and release the coil?

A: Hydraulic pressure is fed to the mandrel through the shaft, expanding the segment shoes outward against the coil bore so the coil turns with the mandrel. Releasing the pressure retracts the shoes and the coil slides off. One mandrel covers a range of bores, so you are not tied to a single coil supplier.

Q3: Why does the hold-down arm matter for purlin production?

A: A purlin line pulls strip at a steady rate, and a coil that opens up unevenly feeds slack strip that shows up as twist or length variation in the purlin. The curved hold-down arm rides on the coil from full diameter down to the core, keeping the wrap tight so strip enters the rolls straight and the profile stays consistent.

Q4: Can the hydraulic decoiler machine feed a CZ purlin line?

A: Yes. It is commonly supplied ahead of CZ and C purlin lines, and also for roof and wall panel lines. Send us the strip width, strip thickness and line speed of the purlin machine and we confirm the mandrel size, drive rating and the gap between the decoiler and the first forming stand.

Q5: What power supply and hydraulic pressure does it need?

A: The machine is built to your site supply - 380V three-phase is standard, and other voltages are available for export. Hydraulic pressure is set at the factory and marked on the unit; the hydraulic station is sized to the mandrel expansion force required by your coil weight and bore.

Q6: How is a 5 ton coil loaded onto the decoiler?

A: Coils at this weight are normally placed by overhead crane or forklift, or by a coil car where the layout is designed for it. The mandrel is expanded from the control position, so the operator does not work under the coil. We advise the loading method with the layout drawing based on your handling equipment.

Q7: What safety features does the machine have?

A: The housing carries warning and instruction labels, the frame is guarded around the rotating mandrel, and the drive is controlled from an operator position with emergency stop. Because coil handling and hydraulics are involved, we supply a maintenance sheet stating the isolation procedure before any work on the mandrel or hydraulic circuit.

Q8: How is it packed and delivered, and what support comes with it?

A: The decoiler is tested before shipment, then packed with the electrics and hydraulic station protected for sea freight. Delivery is typically 20 to 35 days depending on configuration and destination. We supply the layout drawing, manual, spare parts list, and installation and commissioning guidance, with engineers available on site on request.
